Vladimir Zakhorov

Vladimir's life as a mariner began at the age of 15 when he has joined the Saltash Sailing Club as a cadet. Whilst being a cadet he often sailed on his father's friend's 38ft classic yacht to gain more experience and took part in the annual 'Plymouth Classic Boat Rally', taking 1st place twice and getting a 2nd place in the following year.

After finishing a finance degree, he has decided to pursue mariner's career and an opportunity came up to work with UM as crew doing yacht deliveries and progressing towards captaincy was always his ambition.
